Alright I don't know how effective this will be but seriously I need money. For those of you that didn't know going to college for art is expensive. So I'm "opening" or accepting commissions jut pm me the info if you art interested.

Price is negotiable varying on the terms and expectations of the piece.
Don't worry a pm is not a commitment to purchasing a commission so you decide you don't want one I won't be offended. If it takes longer for me to do then the expected due date I will deduct from the original price.

All payments through paypal.

I need to start drinking coffee...

Completely random hi =D

You've got a nice gallery there, too. Great work

As an artist, we could learn a lot from crayons:
~Some are Sharp, some are dull,
Some are pretty, some have wierd names,
All of them are different colors,
Yet they all live together in the same box.~

Thankye for adding my gallery to your watch list. It's much appreciated!

You work in a nice variety of media and subjects, which is refreshing to see. Not to say it's bad to have a preferred subject, but the variety will help you develop faster as you face multiple and new challenges with each medium and subject.

Continue to study the structure of your subjects to help you better understand them and how to render them. Don't be afraid to go to the extremes with your values, it helps in creating depth, even with lighter colors.

Your puppet theme is really intriguing and it'll be interesting to see how it develops as both you and your art mature.

Best of luck in all your pursuits!

Thanks again for sharing your perspective of my artwork. Little comments like this always makes my day. I rarely ever get such things other then from my teachers in one which loves to rip my ego in half. Which I absolutely adore to be able to take such. I'm so tired of people saying my artwork is good but don't give any suggestions on how to improve. I know I have not reached the skill level that I'm satisfied with and I believe that is impossible for an artist to do. We can only keep growing. It is always good to laugh about your own art and be open to other's perspectives to better improve yourself.

I still have not found myself comfortable with the values and color. Thanks for addressing it because your opinion makes it that much more important to tackle. I'm serious.

When viewing your wonderful gallery I often notice that my eye is left off the page. Continue to study composition because I think that will emphasize your marvelous artwork even more! In some of your pieces you do achieve emphasize through your wonderful use of color. Yet in some I feel like your creatures or animals are hiding or when my eyes try to focus on the main subject they veer off trying to follow the flow of your subjects movement.

This is something I too struggle and bit my thumb at.

I wish you too the best of luck in your artistic endeavors.

You're most welcome. I know good critique can be hard to come by and I'm glad to be of help!

Thank you very much for your thoughtful comment as well! I am curious as to whether you see this in every piece, or if it is specific ones (if so, which). Composition is something I'll fight with forever (I don't really know any artist who doesn't to some extent), but I know that with some of my more recent work I've been cropping a lot, which has a tendency to push the viewer off the page irregardless. Motion does have a tendency to lead the eye off the page, perhaps I don't have a strong enough guide back to the subject, but I always try to keep my compositions fairly contained, but not necessarily simple.

I respect what you are doing. Yes of course the cropped pages can lead my eye off the page and its hard to emphasis. Yet two of your pieces Backwinging Shamien and the one with the white horse seem to lead my eye off the page. I suppose this is them touching the edge or not quite fitting all of it. The wing's direction and tail lead my eye away easily. The creature's head doesn't seem to be a focal point. Of course the detail is amazing. I seem to be going in a loop downward from the wing tip then back up the tail then back to the wing. I'm sorry if that is so confusing.

I love your stuff and hope to see some more. Your work and technique with pastels is delightful. I have no idea how to work with that media.
:iconlantairvlea:
Ah yes, the Shamien is about four years old now, not exactly a good example of my current knowledge of composition *grin,* but I see what you're saying.

Oh thank you very much. It's nice to know my work is appreciated! I've had quite a challenge and also a bit of fun learning how to get the pastels to work. They've quickly become my favorite medium even if they're a bit messy. It's definitely a medium you just have to dive into and get the feel of it.
